At the right time of year, fishing with an egg fly can be absolutely deadly. Trout are especially opportunistic feeders and will eat the eggs of all types of fish, even those of their own species. Rainbow trout spawn in the spring and brown trout spawn in the fall - these seasons can be a very productive time to add an egg pattern to your nymph rigs. Available in size 14 & 18.
TIP: Often the best way to fish an egg fly is in the tail position of a double nymph rig so that it flutters naturally, along the bottom.
