The Hippie Stomper is a top-water staple in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. Based on a “humpy” style dry fly, this pattern is tied with two colors of foam making it the perfect terrestrial attractor pattern. These flies are basically unsinkable and easy to see. Available in size 12, 14 and 16.
TIP: This fly makes a perfect top fly in a dry dropper set-up and, due to its buoyancy, it can hold up slightly heavier droppers.
