The Tungsten Jig Squirrel has become one of our most productive and favorite streamer patterns. It has many of the best "triggers" to entice hard strikes from both large trout and bass. With lots of movent, holographic flash, a red throat hackle and a heavy tungsten bead it combines the best features of most successful fly patterns. The Jig Squirrel can be fished either as a stripped streamer or as the bottom fly in a nymph rig. Tied on a size 10, tactical jig hook.
TIP: If stripping this pattern, try a steady pull and a long pause. This will cause it to go up and down in the water column and make the tail really flutter.
